The Kamloops Blazers are off and running. We went to their home opener tonight, they beat Portland 6-3. It was an awesome game. The Blazers scored some beautiful goals and had a lot of good chances--a welcome change from last year. Even their powerplay had already improved. I'm hoping they can keep this up, at least for awhile. They also had the coolest first intermission ever--they had a band out on the ice! Kickass. I do have some questions for the Blazers though. I thought of a lot of these during the pre-season, but they still apply.
11 Burning Questions for the Kamloops Blazers:
1. When are you going to get rid of the 18+ minute intermissions? Even when they have a band playing, it's too long!
2. When are you going to get a real coach and put Dean Clark back in his place as GM?
3. Do we really need a Devan Dubnyk lookalike goalie?
4. Can we tie the goalie to the net?
5. Will I ever win the 50/50 jackpot?
6. Can we please improve the powerplay? (Tonight was a start...but we want more!)
7. Can't the camera guy at least pretend to want to put me on the big screen?
8. Can the bizarre Russian instrumental be lost...permanently?
9. Will you please make the playoffs?
10. Will you please make it past the first round of playoffs?
11. Will you chain the fans to their seats so they can't start leaving with six minutes left in the game?

Keep 'Takin Care of Business'. It's your song. Don't change it. You need it.
